When God decides to take your 'support' 'your best friend' away from you especially when he has planned for hardships in the forthcoming days. Just for fun, he wonders how would it be like to see her going through it all by herself.
I have realised that it is easy relatively to get over a pain for which psychological training and manipulation is required, than the support and friendship you require during times of physical disability.

A short story if you feel you’re alone, and god doesn’t care.
ReplyDeleteI walked along the beach smiling and calm, ran sometimes in sheer delight, jumped often in joy. Whenever I looked back, I saw two sets of prints. One set belonged to me, and the other to god; always by me, always there.
Then came my hardships. The smile disappeared. I often cried. The leap turned into a slight, tender, heavy limp. I turn around and find only one set of footprints on the beach. I ask god, “Why did you leave me alone in my hour of despair oh lord? You were there with me…all the time…walking along with me…why then did you leave me in my hour of sorrow? Why??”
The lord replied tenderly, “But I was always with you dear one. I walked with you when you were happy and joyful….and carried you in my arms when you were in despair and sorrow.”
